Vingroup and Intel team up for technological innovations
Vingroup collaborates with Intel to create a wide range of advanced computing systems, including 5G-enabled smart city solutions, cloud services and artificial intelligence.
The planned partnership is part of the Vietnamese conglomerate’s ongoing efforts to work with leading global suppliers on manufacturing development, smart services and electric vehicle initiatives, Vingroup said.
Under a memorandum of understanding, Vingroup and Intel will jointly explore opportunities for 5G solutions that can be applied to Vinhomes’ smart city projects. Vinhomes, a unit of Vingroup, is the country’s largest commercial property developer.
The companies will consider creating IoT (internet of things) solutions to manufacture batteries and electric vehicles under VinES and VinFast, the group’s subsidiaries for energy solutions and electric cars and scooters, respectively. It is also planned to develop an optimized and scalable computer architecture for open source applications embedded in vehicles and in buildings.
