Realization of the innovative Horizon NeoPark project evaluated

MINSK, December 21 (BelTA) – President of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova has assessed the realization of the NeoPark innovation and manufacturing project at the premises of the holding company Horizont, BelTA learned.

President of the Council of the Republic of the Belarusian National Assembly Natalya Kochanova, Minister of Internal Affairs Ivan Kubrakov and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the City of Minsk Vladimir Kukharev visited the premises and participated in a government conference organized to discuss the implementation. Horizon’s general manager, Yuri Predko, told them about the reconstruction of the territory.

Natalya Kochanova said: “The president has given instructions to recover the unused premises of Horizon and start manufacturing there. This is why a repair schedule has been drawn up and we are ensuring its implementation. All the measures planned for this year have been carried out. In particular, those concerning the reconstruction of the manufacturing wing n ° 25. It didn’t look so good, old equipment was installed there, but now the building has been given a makeover. The building will be commissioned in the first half of 2022. New equipment will be installed there to manufacture traditional Horizon products.

The smart consumer products developed by Horizon specialists will be manufactured in the Innovation and Industry Center, which is being rebuilt. The renovation started several months ago. The rooms have been modernized, the walls, ceilings and floors have been redecorated, the windows and doors have been replaced. The industrial center is about 60% ready. It will be fully ready by July 2022.

The NeoPark innovation and manufacturing project will be located in an area limited by Kuibysheva Street, Masherova Avenue, Krasnaya Street and Kiseleva Street in Minsk. A unique cutting-edge technology cluster will be established there. Eighteen buildings will house modern manufacturing facilities, medicine and education centers, parking lots, cultural spaces and an innovative environment. The space will be equipped with smart benches and solar street lights. The implementation of the project takes into account the location of the buildings, their architectural designs will be preserved.

The Speaker of the Upper House of Belarusian Parliament stressed that the implementation of the project will be closely monitored. The project is expected to be fully implemented in 2025.

Natalya Kochanova also paid a visit to the innovation and R&D center of the Horizont holding company. She saw a showroom of the latest products, the central office for children’s preschool and educational projects, and various other offices.
