Creative Entrepreneur Deepak Pareek on Starting Up During College, Building a Personal Brand, and More

“You should start building your personal brand right from university because it opens up a lot of opportunities,” said content creator and entrepreneur Deepak Pareek from Manipal University in Jaipur at an event organized by Techstars Startup Weekend, Jaipur on October 1, 2022. It was a 3-day event where participants were to meet their friends, pitch their idea and form a team on Day 1. On Day 2, they were to be coached by mentors on how to work better about their startup and ways to improve their core product. The students benefited from expert mentorship that gave them insight into their start-up. Day 3 was pitch day. Entrants now had to pitch their product in front of other entrants and a panel of judges.

Deepak Pareek was the keynote speaker at the event and he spoke to students about personal branding, starting in college, how to pitch your startup, and more. “In my opinion, there are two important things to focus on when pitching – simple communication and selling,” Deepak said during his keynote. One of Deepak’s most frequently asked questions was: “what are the 3 characteristics that every entrepreneur must have?” to which he said, “the communication, the subject matter expertise and knowing when to quit”. One of the mentors at the event was Anushree Jain, founder of SocialTAG, an influencer marketing agency. She helped attendees with her knowledge and gave them insight into how they are improving their products.

The keynote session ended on a high note and Deepak Pareek was congratulated by the organizers. Deepak and other judges/mentors also had an informal interaction with the audience/participants of the event and learned about their entrepreneurial ambitions and plans.
