Facing the Storm
I walked along a weary road,
'Twas paved with rocks and thorns,
The sun was dark and clouds hung o'er
As I braced to face the storm;
My Father said, "Be not afraid,"
For I will hold your hand,
Take comfort in the thought, my child,
That I am in command.
I made the rain,
I made the wind,
I made the lightning , too;
So while we're walking hand in hand
My peace will comfort you.
You need not fear the storms of life,
For surely they will come;
But rest assured
You'll walk secure,
I'll guide you safely home.
